Netflix unveils UNABOMBER trailer with Jacob Tremblay
Netflix has released the trailer for UNABOMBER, a new drama inspired by the life of Ted Kaczynski.
Jacob Tremblay plays a young Kaczynski during his time at Harvard University. The film focuses on his early years as a gifted but isolated student, before moving between his past and the FBI investigation into the Unabomber.
The trailer uses a dual-timeline structure. One part follows Kaczynski in 1958, where he becomes involved in psychological experiments led by Professor Henry Murray, played by Russell Crowe. The other follows FBI agent Joanne Miller, played by Shailene Woodley, as investigators search for the person behind a series of deadly mail bombs.
Rather than beginning with Kaczynski as a fully formed criminal, the film looks at the events and experiences that shaped him. That approach gives UNABOMBER a psychological and historical focus, while still promising the tension of an FBI thriller.
The film is directed by Janus Metz and written by Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves. It arrives on Netflix on 25 September 2026.

Aaron Sorkin returns to Facebook’s story with The Social Reckoning
Aaron Sorkin is returning to the world of Facebook with The Social Reckoning, a drama connected to the events surrounding the Facebook Files.

HBO has shared a new trailer for JAY-Z IN 8, an eight-part documentary series directed by Rick Rubin.

The Love Hypothesis trailer brings a popular romance to Prime Video
Rom-com fans have a new trailer to watch this week, as Prime Video previews The Love Hypothesis.
Based on Ali Hazelwood’s bestselling novel, the film stars Lili Reinhart as Olive Smith, a biology PhD candidate, and Tom Bateman as Dr Adam Carlsen, an intimidating professor.
The story centres on a fake-dating arrangement. Olive wants to convince her best friend that it is safe to pursue a relationship, so she unexpectedly kisses Adam and then asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend. As expected, the plan becomes more complicated when their fake relationship starts to feel real.
The trailer includes the academic setting, the grumpy-and-sunshine dynamic and the romantic tension that made the book popular. It is set to stream exclusively on Prime Video from 23 September 2026.
Kit Harington joins HBO’s Harry Potter series
Kit Harington is joining HBO’s Harry Potter series as Gilderoy Lockhart.
Harington replaces Nicholas Hoult, who left the production because of scheduling conflicts. Lockhart will appear in the second season, which is expected to be based on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
The character is a famous wizard and author whose heroic reputation is not quite what it seems. Kenneth Branagh previously played Lockhart in the 2002 film adaptation.
Harington is best known for playing Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, and he has already voiced Lockhart in the full-cast audio adaptation of The Chamber of Secrets. He has described the role as one of his favourite characters in the Harry Potter world.
The first season is expected to premiere on HBO and HBO Max on 25 December 2026, with the second season scheduled to begin filming this autumn.
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha arrives on Netflix
