Weekly International Music News Roundup
From a surprise Iron Maiden tour to a fresh stack of Friday releases, the week of 19–23 October 2026 has delivered plenty for rock fans. Here are the big stories to catch up on.
Iron Maiden surprise everyone
Iron Maiden had planned a break from live shows in 2027. Instead, they’ve announced 16 North American dates for the third and final leg of their Run For Your Lives 50th anniversary tour.
The run begins in Tacoma, Washington, on 14 April and finishes at Belmont Park, New York, on 11 May. The band will also appear at Sonic Temple in Columbus and Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City. Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age join the bill, making it the first three-British-band bill since 1983. Steve Harris said the added shows give the band a chance to reach places they missed on the earlier North American run.
