Releases

VisionQuest arrives on Disney+

Marvel’s VisionQuest makes its Disney+ debut on 14 October 2026, following a surprise first-episode screening at New York Comic Con attended by star Paul Bettany.

The series continues Vision’s story after his reboot, with the character hiding from people who want to use him as a weapon. While searching for a new purpose, Vision encounters different artificial intelligence personas within his programming, including Ultron.

The story also introduces Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious boy who may be connected to Vision’s past. Disney describes the series as a science-fiction drama with superhero elements, giving it a more thoughtful and mysterious tone than a straightforward action show.

Casting News

HBO orders Crazy Rich Asians series

HBO has officially greenlit a Crazy Rich Asians drama series based on Kevin Kwan’s books.

Constance Wu and Henry Golding will return as Rachel Chu and Nick Young, while Michelle Yeoh is back as Eleanor Young. Ronny Chieng is also expected to reprise his role as Eddie Cheng.

The series will continue after the events of the 2018 movie rather than acting as a direct remake. Adele Lim, who co-wrote the original film, will serve as showrunner and executive producer.

The return of the original cast gives the project a strong connection to the movie, which was widely praised for its representation of Asian characters and families in a major Hollywood production.

Trailers and New Announcements

Marvel unveils Zodiac

Marvel Television used New York Comic Con to announce Zodiac, a new live-action spy thriller planned for Disney+ in 2028.

Filming is expected to begin in spring 2027. Details about the cast and story are still being kept quiet, but the title and spy-thriller description point towards a more grounded Marvel project.

The announcement adds another style of series to Marvel’s growing television slate. Alongside superheroes, the studio is now exploring espionage, crime, animation and darker supernatural stories.

The official Marvel NYCC announcement has more details.

Marvel Zombies becomes an annual special event

Marvel also confirmed that Marvel Zombies will return as three separate annual specials:

  • Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier, 2027
  • Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu, 2028
  • Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian, 2029

Each title will explore a different part of the undead Marvel universe. The specials will give the studio a chance to experiment with darker stories while keeping the releases tied to a yearly Halloween season.

Daredevil: Born Again season 3 will be the final chapter

Marvel confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again season 3 will be the show’s final season, arriving in 2027.

A new trailer shown during the NYCC presentation features Matt Murdock behind bars and teases a reunion of the Defenders. The trailer has already created plenty of discussion among fans, particularly around how Matt ended up in prison and whether old alliances can survive the show’s increasingly dangerous world.

Making season 3 the final chapter should allow the series to build towards a proper conclusion for Charlie Cox’s version of Daredevil.

New trailer for The Altruists

Netflix has released the trailer for The Altruists, a limited series about the rise and collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency empire.

Julia Garner plays Caroline Ellison, while Anthony Boyle portrays Sam Bankman-Fried. The trailer presents the pair as ambitious young idealists who believe they can change the financial system. Their personal and professional relationship eventually leads to one of the biggest financial scandals of the decade.

Netflix describes the couple as a modern “Bonnie and Clyde”, though this time the story involves cryptocurrency, billions of dollars and a global technology empire.

All eight episodes arrive on Netflix on 19 November 2026.
